Do I need one?
On many Berlin streets there is no space for a van at 8 a.m. The van ends up double-parked or far away – both cost time and can mean a fine.
A parking zone is worth it for old buildings without a lift, narrow streets and bigger moves. Small transports on quiet streets often work without one.
How to apply in Berlin
- It is usually handled by the road office (Straßen- und Grünflächenamt) of the district where the zone will be.
- Depending on the district you can apply online, by post or in person.
- Apply at least two weeks in advance.
- The signs must be up at least 72 hours before the start.
- Costs depend on the district, the length of the zone and the duration.
We can do it for you
